E-voting experiment was successful – Nasdaq
Testing of the e-voting system designed for shareholders of companies was successful. It was reported by Nasdaq.
E-voting is a collaborative development of Nasdaq и and e-Residency, the Japanese platform of electronic citizenship (operating under government assistance).
The experiment started in 2016. It was conducted to check whether the system could simplify the voting process for shareholders and reduce related expenses.
Report authors have concluded that blockchain can be applied not only in conducting transactions but also in the range of other areas. Nasdaq is going to develop blockchain services for both internal processes and customer support.
